But he was confused
Who is the true God?

There were just too many
Top on the list was Thor
But he had become a Marvel superhero instead

Contemplated on Zeus
But Zeus came with an unsavoury baggage
With all his erotic escapades

Steered towards Anubis
The canine head was an attraction
But the thought of mummies was a deterrent

Someone suggested Huitzilopochtli
The Aztec god was mysterious
But the name was quite a mouthful

Then there was Cerridwen
But being a sexist
He did not want to follow the Welsh enchantress

Itzamna, the Mayan God cropped up
But he doubted the creator’s powers
Having failed with the 2012 apocalypse

There were plenty of modern Gods to pick from
But he chose to stay away from all the drama
