The circus is in town
If you elect clowns, you get the circus
But this isn’t any ordinary circus
The clowns were not invited
For they crashed the party
Their jokes are lame
Their tricks are stale
None are impressed
The kids are terrified
The adults are mortified
The circus has come to town
But there are no lions or tigers
Only frogs jumping here and there
There are no trapeze artists
Only chimpanzees swinging around
There are no elephants or dancing bears
Only bobbleheads nodding incessantly
The musicians have stopped playing
Replaced by rappers who cannot rhyme
The ringmaster has gone AWOL
Leaving the juggler on the tightrope in charge
With a scratch of fleas to do his bidding
But the town is waiting
To see what would happen
When the fleas start biting
