The Creator

 

Who is the creator?
Did God create man in his image?
Or was it man, who created God to fit his imagination?

Don’t accuse me of blasphemy
If I believe man is the culprit
A culprit with a wild imagination
Imagination that defies logic

Don’t accuse me of heresy
If I believe God did not create man
Why would the all-knowing – past, present and future,
Create man of all creatures?

After roaming the world for centuries,
We are still here
Segregated by religion and colour of our skin
Divided by money and politics
Partitioned by class and position

Still believing the earth is flat
That guns can stop violence
That climate change is a hoax
That Elvis is still alive

Don’t accuse me of skepticism
If I doubt the wisdom and sincerity
Of the creator
Whoever it may be
