Is reality an illusion?

 

Living in a dream
Engulfed in ignorance
Believing in the untenable
Are we living in delusion?

Is life all that we think it is?
Or is our perception limited?
Looking but not seeing
Hearing but not listening

When truth is unveiled
When lies are dispelled
When we wake up from the slumber
Would reality be just an illusion?

Is reality a figment of our own imagination?
Or are we in fear of evanescence?
Wanting the best
Hating the worst

When we shed our ego
When we embrace compassion
When we realise our true nature
Can we create reality from our imagination?

If reality is just an illusion,
What awaits when we reject the illusion?
