Love is not an art of attraction
But of understanding

Yet we live lost in the seduction
Of money
Of power
Of beauty

In false pretence
In obliviousness
In Ignorance of what love truly is

Soon enough the faith that binds love
Is forgotten
Is cast aside
Is disregarded

Relationships are compromised
Friendships are ruined
Families are broken

Love is not an art of attraction
But of understanding
