Misrepresented
Religion is misrepresented
By those who believe only what their own prejudice demands
By those who believe only they are on the true path
By those who believe the only right way is their way
By those who believe the dominion of God is restricted to a select few
They fail to recognise their own nakedness
They refuse to listen to the voice of reason
They decipher the Word of God according to their own dictionary
They appoint themselves as guardians of something beyond their own capability
They hijack morality in false pretense
Religion is misrepresented
By the politician, who wants to stay in power
By the corrupt, who wants to fill his coffers
By the immoral, who wants to satisfy his lust
By the illiterate, who wants to be relevant
There is only one religion
(Even for the atheist)
It may come in different versions
But it is always of the same notion
Of truth
Of kindness
Of love
Of tolerance
Religion is misrepresented
Break away!
There is no mediator or a middle man
Between you and God!
Only truth, kindness, love and tolerance.
