Bored

 

The devil and his apprentice
Were bored to death (no puns intended)
Who wouldn’t be?
Faced with a constant stream of sinners

They have encountered a chock full nut-cases
Spanning all these centuries

And to say they bored rigid,
Would be an understatement

Bored with the lust
Bored with the greed
Bored with the gluttony
Bored with the sloth
Bored with the wrath
Bored with the envy
And bored with the pride

The devil and his apprentice
Wanted a break from this endless cacophony

They wanted some peace and quiet
But heaven was out of the question
The Big Kahuna has no love for the duo

Persona non grata in heaven
The devil and his apprentice are stuck on earth for eternity
(Or at least until Mars is inhabited)
Bored with men and their antics
Men driven by the seven sins
Hell in a place called Earth
