The tadpole and the toad

We are fascinated by the tadpole
But abhor the slimy toad

Metamorphosis!
Not by choice but by nature

Love and hate
So different, yet the same
We love intently
We hate intensely

Good and bad
So different, yet the same
We do good deeds, sometimes grudgingly
We act badly, sometimes willingly

Transformation!
Not by nature but by choice

You and me
